I started out at the age of 20, wanting to be an actor and a director, to make some kind of mark on the world of theatre. But I found that what I enjoyed most was seeing the look on someones face when they surpassed their own expectations and what I was best at was creating a safe space where that could happen.
Though the work I do now is very different I guess I'm still doing what I set out to do in those early days in community theatre. Creating a place where people can try out their ideas, learn from their mistakes and from each other ... and most importantly, have a good time doing it.
I met and worked with some wonderfully talented and creative people. I made a lot of mistakes and learnt from them.
